SUPERIOR FLIGHT TRAINING FROM THE GROUND UP

In conjunction with Oklahoma State University’s Center for Aerospace and Hyperbaric Medicine the following classes are offered. Each aviation physiology course begins in the classroom. These sessions meet FAA requirements and are designed to teach pilots about the physiological challenges associated with flight.

Advanced Pilot Classes

Hypobaric Chamber “Ride”

The chamber flight is a natural follow on to the High altitude signoff. Classroom training is reinforced by an altitude chamber flight letting the students experience their own personal symptoms of hypoxia in a controlled setting. Accompanying the hypoxia training is a controlled “sudden decompression”.

Educational lectures, combined with hands-on demonstrations, prepare the pilots to recognize potential problems associated with humans in flight and teach the pilots how to respond correctly.

  • Hyperbaric chamber manufactured by Gulf Coast Hyperbarics
  • Operated by UHMS certified hyperbaric technicians
  • A roomy 12 person, state-of-the-art multi-place chamber

This class includes over 4 hours of ground school taught by Paul Rock D.O., Ph.D. who has over 25 years experience in aviation physiology. The chamber ride is conducted by Dave Moyers and Jim Jones who have combined experience of over 50 years in military and civilian aviation physiology. The high altitude signoff will be provided by Fast Forward Aviation staff.

Class runs from 8AM to 5PM with a lunch break.
